I really love this pen! It is definitely a quality product that has a nice weight and a beautiful combination of colors and textures. The black and gold pattern on the barrel is very appealing. Another beautiful pen including top-notch parts -- and another perfect & unique gift that will have people awestruck. I simply determine the recipient's favorite color(s), then look to see what gorgeous pens Mike has created in that color scheme. I love that this is one of his smaller ones - great to use in lecture halls and will be a daily reminder of how special they are! An awesome electric blue sodalite fountain pen. Its substantial and has that very cool magnetic cap. This one writes like a banshee expecially with the Private Reserve DC Supershow blue I received with it. Again I got a lot of goodies from Mike with my 3 pen purchase. I received a suprise package today from Mike of Trobee pens. Inside there was Private reserve ink, a super frangrant chocolate leather pouch. It fits like a glove around the fountain pen. Then wrapped very well in bubble wrap there was the most beautiful Tiger eye fountain pen with gold trim. Out in the sunlight it changes color everytime you turn the pen. I popped in a Private reserve Tropical Blue cartridge. The pen Writes like a dream. Mike is a good communicator and really cares about his customers. He also packs well and ships quickly. Looks far more better than on the pictures. The resin acrylic is high quality equal to that used by high-end fountain pen manufacturers. It is perfectly turned and polished. And I know what I'm saying because I collect pens. Mike was nice to switch it to a fountain pen. I don't know how it writes as it is a gift but the nib is German made and looks promising. Pens are great quality and the fountain pen is very smooth. The color is a bit darker and they are not as glossy as the photo, but the grain of the wood is still very nice. Really dig the magnetic cap and the hexagonal barrel really sets this pen apart. Excellent work.

Pen arrived extra-promptly and is excellent. Mike Trobee has an excellent product. There was an issue with the refillable reservoir leaking a bit and it was replaced immediately with not one, but two replacements as well as a free bottle of ink and ten extra cartridges. Will definately be shopping with him again.
